Happy, Healthy and Confident Children At Little Jogs Day nursery, our aim is to help all our children acquire the skills, confidence and positive self image to be happy, healthy and confident young children. Purpose Built Little Jogs Day Nursery is a purpose-built facility on the edge of Hungerford, adjacent to the John O’Gaunt Community Technology College. It uses pioneering design features to provide a safe and secure learning environment for children from 9 weeks old to primary school entry. Vibrant colours and child–friendly features such as low level windows are designed to help children feel at home, complemented by care from qualified and experienced Nursery Nurses.There is a big, enclosed garden with views to the beautiful countryside around Hungerford. OFSTED Registered Each Nursery Nurse is responsible for a small group of children. Regular inspection by OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education) ensures that standards are maintained. The nursery is also compliant with the Early Years Foundation Stage principles. These are split into four themes: A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments and Learning and Development. The nursery is also registered to accept the Nursery education Grant for 3 to 4 year-olds. Areas for each Age Range The Nursery is divided into areas for each age range. Within each area, activities are balanced between group and individual play, noisy and quiet activities, structured and free-choice. All activities are designed to ensure that children have fun whilst learning. Healthy, Balanced Food All our food at Little Jogs is freshly prepared, by our trained cook. She has experience of cooking for children with allergies; if your child has any special dietary requirements, we can meet their needs in a delicious, healthy way.
